  • To the Members of the ad-hoc working group on Platform Work

Dear Members,

I would like to share with you the link to the online meeting on 10 September at 14:00 CET, where we will come together to share our first impressions and exchange views on the recently published Brown Report on Decent work in Platform Economy (ILC.114/Report V(3)) and its accompanying questionnaire. This discussion will allow us to identify key challenges, concerns, and priorities from the perspective of ETUC members. (Link to the meeting)

A few days later, on 16 September (14:00–17:00 CET), we will have a second opportunity to deepen our work. An invitation has already been circulated by PERC Secretary General, Esther Lynch, for this meeting, which will bring us into dialogue with Amanda Brown, the Workers’ Spokesperson at the ILC. This session will allow us to focus on strategy and develop a stronger, united voice in shaping our positions. (Register here)

Together, the exchanges from both meetings will feed into the preparation of guidelines on comments to the Brown Report, ensuring members are well-equipped to respond collectively and effectively by the deadline on 14th November 2025.

Your engagement in both discussions will be essential in making sure your concerns and priorities are strongly reflected.
We look forward to our discussions,

Best regards,

Tea Jarc
Confederal Secretary

  • To the Members of the ad-hoc working group on Platform Work

Dear Members,

Please save the date for an important online meeting of European members to discuss the follow-up to the ILC discussions on standard setting in platform work.

The meeting will take place on 10th September from 14:00-16:00 CET.

In light of the upcoming publication of the Brown Report (15 August), which will include a questionnaire with a submission deadline of 15 November, it is important that we come together to exchange views and coordinate next steps.

The meeting will provide an opportunity to:

  • Discuss the main concerns and difficulties members anticipate;

  • Share perspectives to support a coordinated approach;

  • Prepare for national-level discussions and engagement.

Following this exchange, the secretariat (ETUC & ITUC)  will prepare a technical note outlining key arguments and guidance to assist members in drafting responses and engaging with their respective governments.

Further details, including the link to connect and information on interpretation, will be shared in due course.

We look forward to your participation and wish you a nice summer.

Best regards,

Tea Jarc
Confederal Secretary
