CONSEQUENCE OF THE IMPOSED AUSTERITY

Portugal 24 November: General Strike

Following the agreement signed with the IMF/EU/ECB Troika, Portugal is confronted with a new and more severe austerity programme, unprecedented since the inauguration of democracy.

Against exploitation and impoverishment, for jobs, salaries, rights and public services !

General Strike jointly organised by:
UGT Portugal and CGTP-IN

{{THERE ARE ALTERNATIVES }}

Against exploitation and impoverishment, for a developed and sovereign Portugal, for jobs, salaries, rights, public services

Portugal needs a different policy

•  Renegotiation of deadlines' debt, interest rates and amounts;
•  Policy that promotes growth and jobs with rights;
•  Enhancing the productive sector and pay and pension rises;
•  Ensuring the protection and strengthening of the state's social duties and public services;
•  Valuing work and respecting workers.
