We express our deepest feelings of friendship and solidarity to all people in Norway, and particularly to the trade union confederations affiliated to the ETUC and their members: LO, YS and UNIO.
We share your deep sorrow in the face of the savage murder of innocent people.
We are outraged by, and unequivocally condemn, all forms of violence.
The young people who died on Utoya island believed in the principles defended by the ETUC and the trade union movement. They fought against racism and xenophobia, and stood in defence of peace, justice and equality. The loss of these young friends makes us more determined than ever to stand for these principles.
The ETUC sends its most sincere condolences to the families of those who have died.
