The European trade union movement is sounding the alarm at proposals being tabled for the EU Talent Pool. The proposal would greenlight recruitment sharks who use exploitative methods. 

The call for an immediate ceasefire is more urgent than ever.  In response to the Foreign Affairs Council meeting on 27 May 2024, the ETUC reiterates our call on the EU to use all leverage to secure an immediate ceasefire and the release of all hostages, and concrete measures to ensure the government of Israel’s compliance with the ICJ ruling concerning the halting of military operations in Rafah and allowing the access of humanitarian aid into Gaza.
