Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to share with you the findings from our recently finalised ETUC Study on Working Time Reduction in Collective Agreements. This study has been conducted under our ETUCLEX Project, and our launch will be co-organised together with the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung in Brussels.
On behalf of ETUC and FES, you are warmly welcome to attend the launch event for our ETUCLEX study on 23 June 14:00-16:00 CET. The event will be taking place in Brussels (FES EU Brussels Office - Rue du Taciturne 38) and online. Please note that the draft agenda is attached and that the working language will be English (no interpretation).

The link to connect will be communicated in due time to the registered participants.
Please note that travel expenses will not be covered for participants.
The ETUCLEX study ‘Bargaining for Working Time Reduction’ can already now be accessed digitally in English, using the password ETUCLEX2025. Please download and then open the file with Adobe. At the day of the launch, it will be publicly available on the ETUC website in English and French.
The aim of our study has been to map and analyse existing collective agreements, to equip trade unions with supportive arguments, inspiring examples and concrete recommendations for the negotiations and implementation of working time reduction with no loss in pay.
The programme for our launch will include opening remarks from ETUC and FES, a presentation of the key findings from the study by our external contractor Autonomy Institute, as well as the sharing of practical experiences by a trade union representative from one of the in-depth case studies in our study. The contributions will be followed by a Q&A and discussion with policy experts and participants.
We look forward to exchanging with you on this interesting and topical subject at our launch event.
In the meantime, should you have any questions on the study or the event, please do not hesitate to contact Joakim and Sarrah ([email protected]; [email protected]).
