with this email, we would like to remaind you to join us for a public and interactive event to assess the European Commission’s Communication on the Reinforced Youth Guarantee that will take place tomorrow (2 July) at 10:00 CET.
ETUC Confederal Secretary, Ludovic Voet, commented the documents released earlier this morning:
“The ETUC believes there must also be stronger quality criteria attached to the funding to ensure public money is used effectively. This should lead to quality opportunities for young people to enter the labour market, not to subsidies for precarious jobs.”
“The Commission said today that the philosophy of the scheme is skills for jobs. The problem is the lack of quality jobs so we regret that the reinforced Youth Guarantee does not address their creation.”
