The Balkans

ETUC activities in the Balkans have focused around the ETUC Balkans Forum, involving almost all significant trade union organisations in South East Europe. The ETUC was one of the instigators and is now a partner in the Initiative for Social Cohesion (ISC) of the Stability Pact for SEE. The social partners play a crucial role in transition processes, and since 2002 the Trade Union Legal Experts Network has been building expertise within regional organisations and helping to develop an industrial relations framework.
