Disability issues

ETUC promotes equal rights and social integration in an ordinary work environment – and across society in general – for all people with disabilities. Furthermore, the confederation aims to raise awareness and mobilise trade unionists to this end.

ETUC has determined three priorities for successful integration:

the right to employment;
the right to education and training;
the right to dignity.

To improve the social inclusion of people with disabilities, ETUC works together with organisations representing disabled people, through the European Disability Forum (EDF), to combat discrimination and achieve equal rights.
