European demonstration in Brussels: a resounding success for european workers
More than 100,000 trade unionists from all over Europe answered the call of the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) and demonstrated today in the streets of Brussels to say “No” to the austerity measures that are rampant in Europe.
John Monks declared: “This day is a resounding success for European workers and a clear signal to the leaders of Europe: you can no longer merely listen to the market, you can no longer ignore the anger and concern of the workers.”
