ETUC report on COM (2009) 495/3 – "The European Union and Latin America: Global Players in Partnership"
The Communication reviews the status of the Bi-regional Strategic Partnership (decided on at the first EU-LAC Summit, in Rio de Janeiro, 1999) and examines the challenges posed by the present crisis, particularly with a view to the next Summit, to be held in Madrid on 17 and 18 May 2010.
The ETUC report refers to various matters of general interest broached in the Communication, and particularly to aspects of special relevance to workers.
