John Monks calls for action at World day for decent work
The World day for decent work (WDDW) was held on 7 October 2008. This unprecedented event, organised by the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC), including the participation of the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC), gave trade unions worldwide an opportunity to show their solidarity for demanding decent pay, decent work and decent working hours.
In the context of the WDDW mobilisation, John Monks, General Secretary of the European Trade Union Confederation, called for action in his speech at Schuman in Brussels on 7 October 2008.
