ETUI Working Conditions, Health and Safety Department
The ETUI Working Conditions, Health and Safety Department was established in 1989 as the European Trade Union Technical Bureau for Health and Safety (TUTB), and undertakes support and expert appraisal missions for the ETUC in the fields of safety, hygiene and protection of health in the working environment, and in the context of European standardisation work. It leads networks of trade union experts in various areas, carries out studies and research and organises conferences and seminars as well as specific training courses.
The Working Conditions, Health and Safety Department provides expertise to European institutions dealing with areas related to the working environment, and monitors the drafting, transposition and application of this legislation.
Hesa Mag, the ETUI magazine on health and safety, is published twice a year in English and French and is free of charge. All publications can be ordered directly from the Working Conditions, Health and Safety Department.
