The ETUI Research Department is the study and research centre of the ETUC in the socio-economic field and for industrial relations. Founded in 1978, it forms a bridge between trade union movement and academic world. It works via networks with similar organisations in various countries and with universities. The Research Department organises conferences and seminars on subjects of interest to the trade union movement. In addition to a number of regular publications Benchmarking Working Europe, Social Developments in the European Union, the European Economic and Employment Policy Brief the quarterly journals TRANSFER and SEER - The South East Europe Review for labour and social affairs), the Research Department issues a variety of other studies.
