The ETUC welcomes the rejection of the Directive on port services liberalisation

The European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) welcomes today’s vote by the European Parliament rejecting the Port Services Directive.

 

The Port Services Directive was rejected with 532 votes in favour, 120 votes against and 25 abstentions. The result of this vote is a clear signal to European leaders that they have to take into account citizens’ demands concerning their living and working conditions.
