ETUC affiliation is not restricted to EU Member States?
No, its membership is much broader. Long before EU enlargement took place in May 2004, the ETUC had already recruited trade union organisations from many of the central and eastern European countries. It has affiliates or observers in the EU candidate countries (Turkey, Croatia and Macedonia) as well as other countries currently outside the EU.
